Logan Valley has an interesting history.
The land was originally a land grant walnut and butternut farm. It was first used for golf around 1910.
Over the years, it was shut down and reopened several times until Wilber Petersen, a furniture store owner from Wakefield, bought it for his own use in 1952. He allowed others to play for 50 cents per round.
The current clubhouse was Wilber's home during the '50's.
One of the course's unique features is its Scottish greens. Scottish greens reside on top of the natural lay of the land without any modification.
Groves of walnut trees dating to the mid 1850's add an unusual beauty to the course.
The fairways are lush and level and the entire course is in great condition.

Directions from I-80: Take I-80 to Exit 353 (York). Go north 110 miles on Hwy 81 to Hwy 98. Turn right and go a total of 28 miles (continue east as Hwy 98 joins Hwy 35) to Hwy 16. From the Hwy 16 intersection, continue 2.0 miles on Hwy 35 East (as it goes north) to the unmarked gravel road on your right. Turn right and go .7 miles the entrance.
Directions from Lincoln and Omaha: Take Hwy 77 north to Hwy 51. Turn left and go 5.0 miles to Hwy 16. Turn right and go 28.2 miles to Hwy 35 East (going north) and continue as described above.
