There are some very challenging hillside approach shots with little room for error. A push or a pull can result in a hard bounce into trouble.
The 6th green is an impossibly small target. It has sloped drop-offs on all sides.
You must hit blind approach shots on the 5th, 6th, and 7th.
A creek and a pond add to the touchiness of the course.
Sandy Meadows is a lot of fun.
There is a picnic shelter by the #1 tee box.
