Oregon Trail is a Marty Johnson design situated on a sloping hillside next the Sutherland Reservoir and a campground area.
The hillside that the course encompasses is part of O'Fallens Bluff upon which the Oregon Trail once laid.
The layout features open fairways and large greens. Pine trees are scattered between fairways and future plans include an additional 200 hardwoods.
The 4th and 5th holes are a difficult combination. The 4th hole is most remarkable. It runs along the lake's edge. A large hook will put you over a ledge and into the drink. The 5th is an uphill par 3 with a raised green.
Oregon Trail is convenient to I-80 and is well worth a visit.

Directions from I-80: Take I-80 to Exit 158 (Sutherland). Go south approximately 1.3 miles on Hwy 25 to where Hwy 25 veers right (west). Turn east onto the country road to your left. Entrance is on your right.
