This layout is challenging for advanced golfers, yet it's playable for all levels.
The northern half of the course is cut from giant cottonwoods that narrowly line several fairways. Smooth bentgrass greens and level, healthy bluegrass fairways and rough add to the courses quality.
The 3rd green and 4th tee furnish a nice view of the Elkhorn River.
For those playing the blues, new back tees on holes 3, 8 and 9 make the course much more difficult.
Overall, the dogleg 7th plays the most difficult with trees overhanging both sides of the fairway and the wind in your face on most days. It also has the most undulating green on the course.
Elkhorn Acres is an outstanding course.

Directions from I-80: Take I-80 to Exit 353 (York). Go north about 89.5 miles on Hwy 81 to Hwy 32. Go east 12.0 miles on Hwy 32 to Hwy 57. Go north 7.55 miles on Hwy 57 to an unmarked paved road (just north of a grove of trees). Turn right (you will see an Elkhorn Acres sign as you turn) and go .3 miles to the entrance on your left.
