Plainview Country Club is a fine layout that has served as a place of leisure and recreation for local residents since 1925.
The club owns and operates an adjacent campground, picnic area and fish pond.
You'll find level lies in the fairways, though there are some drops and rises.
The dogleg third changes in elevation. Its fairway twists and bends uphill around a deep tree lined pit that runs up to the green.
A variety of trees and seven sand traps add some difficulty to the course.
A blind tee shot over a crest on the eighth fairway is dangerous to those further up the fairway. A ladder has been installed next to the tee area so golfers can check ahead before swinging.
Plainview is a fun course to play.

Directions from I-80: Take I-80 to Exit 353 (York). Go north about 101 miles on Hwy 81 to Hwy 13. Go north and west 27 miles on Hwy 13 to Hwy 20. Turn left and go west 2.7 miles to an unmarked gravel road. Turn right and go 1 mile to another gravel road. Turn left and go .75 miles to the entrance.
