This creative Harry Obitz design is laid out on rolling wooded terrain.
You'll encounter a few shots where you won't have a clue where to aim.
The course's most ominous threat is the thick foliage lining a dry creek bed that winds through the track. The rough and fairway blend together in a mixture of grasses.
Midsize, domed greens appear welcoming, but they are hard to hold.
The tee shot on the sixth may be the most consternating on the course. From a hilltop tee, you must carry a ravine to a humpback fairway with out-of-bounds left and trees to the right.
Though testing, you'll find Cardinal Country Club a pleasure to play.
