Oshkosh Country Club is located just north of the rustic southern bluffs of the Platte valley. The layout is 22 miles directly west of Lake McConaughy.
The terrain has mild swales and rolls, but you'll encounter mostly level lies. The fairways are green and lush.
The rough has been left natural prairie grass and sandhill potpourri. It is tough to recover from the rough.
Scattered pines, cedars and blue spruce line the fairways. The undulating greens are raised and midsize. They are tilted toward the fairways, making them more receptive to approach shots.
History buffs will want to look for the Oregon Trail tracks that cross the second fairway near the green.
