Oakland Golf Club is an eye-pleasing layout.
A creek winds through the tract, coming into play on several holes. The greens and fairways are in excellent condition and there isn't an unlevel lie to be found on the course. A real sharpshooter could post a very low score.
The 9th is a beautiful hole. From the tee, you must thread your ball through an opening between two tall clusters of trees 200 yards out and land it on a narrow bending fairway.
Stop in and enjoy the newly-enlarged putting green and practice bunker.

Directions from Lincoln: From I-80, take Hwy 77 north about 70 miles to Second St. in Oakland (next to First Lutheran Church). Turn left on Second St. and go .5 miles to Parson St. Turn left and go 1 block to the entrance.
Directions from Omaha: From I-680, take Hwy 75 north about 49 miles to Hwy 77. Turn north on Hwy 77 and go about 2 miles to Second St. in Oakland and continue as described above.
