Scenic Knolls is a challenging tract. You must think your way around the rolling terrain to score well. It is important to place your tee shots with pin placements in mind.

The huge undulating greens are easy to hit but you will three putt often if you don't land in the vicinity of the flag.

Other sources of difficulty include elevation changes, ponds, canals, and side hill lies.

The layout is arranged to provide a good mix of short holes to take a chance on and long holes that require a long iron approach.

Directions from I-80: Take I-80 to Exit 20 (Kimball). Go north about 49 miles on Hwy 71 to Hwy 26 in Scottsbluff. Turn left and go about 8.5 miles to Hwy 29 North on the west side of Mitchell. Turn right and go north 2.5 miles on Hwy 29 to the entrance on your left.
