Imperial Country Club stretches across level terrain on the west end of town next to the city park. Most of the holes are straightaway, with bluegrass fairways that lead to small greens. You need to be a good chipper to score well.
The fairways and greens are in good condition. The rough is dry and patchy in some places. Trees line all of the fairways.
Fields come into play with the slightest slice on numbers 1, 3 and 4.
The most challenging and eye pleasing holes are very similar. The 2nd and 5th both slope slightly downhill to greens surrounded tightly with trees.
Beware of the horse corral between the 6th and 7th fairways. It is not a good place from where to hit a recovery shot.

Directions from I-80: Take I-80 to Exit 126 (Ogallala). Go south 45.2 miles on Hwy 61 to East 12th St. in Imperial. Turn right and go .7 miles to Broadway. Turn left and go .35 miles to 7th St. Turn right and go .8 miles to the entrance.
