Municipal is an impeccably well groomed course.
It features well-conditioned greens that are slightly raised and are receptive to good approach shots. The fairways are level and in great shape. Sand traps guard several greens and water comes into play on four holes.
Water is most notable on the 9th where a pond will catch any pushed tee shot.
The course actively promotes the growth of golf in Nebraska with its excellent junior golf program.
Several hundred trees have been planted in recent years and more planting is planned.
It is a pleasure to play and provides great value for your dollar.

Directions from I-80: Take I-80 to Exit 312 (Grand Island). Go north 8.8 miles on Hwy 281 to Capital Ave. Turn right on Capital Ave. and go east 4.35 miles to Shady Bend Rd. Turn left and go .5 miles to the entrance on your left.
