Valley View lays across two hills and a valley. It has an interesting landscape, somewhat like a smaller version of McCook.

You will find a variety of uneven and challenging lies. The majority of holes feature shots from hilltop tees to fairways in the valley while approach shots are hit skyward to hilltop greens.

The fairways are a Blue Rye blend and the rough is native grasses. The smooth greens enhance the courses difficulty. They are small, round and tilted toward the valley below.

The 4th hole is a remarkably difficult par 3. Its green is small and oblong, shadowed in front by a tall ash tree. A steep cliff lies immediately to the side and behind the green, out of bounds right, requiring a pinpoint fade from the tee.

Directions from I-80: Take I-80 to Exit 285 (Gibbon). Take the Hwy 10C Link 3.4 miles north through Gibbon to Hwy 30. Turn left and go .75 miles to the Valley View Golf Club sign. Turn left on the gravel road and go 4.2 miles to the clubhouse on your right.
