This course is a golf oasis atop a hill surrounded by farmland between Ewing and Orchard.
It is a gently rolling track featuring modern architecture. It has large, moderately undulating greens surrounded by grassy mounds. Its wide, contoured fairways are lined with moguls and a few trees.
The 4th is the prettiest hole. It requires a tee shot through a shoot of trees to a sidehill lie that leaves you with a downhill pitch over a tree lined knoll to a barely visible green.
Give Summerland a visit, you'll find a friendly atmosphere and management eager for visitors.

Directions from I-80: Take I-80 to Exit 353 (York). Go north 23 miles on Hwy 81 to Hwy 92. Turn left and go 3 miles to Hwy 39. Turn right and go north about 52 miles on Hwy 39 to Hwy 14 in Albion. Go north 24 miles on Hwy 14 to Hwy 275 in Neligh. Turn left on Hwy 275 and go 18 miles to Summerland Golf Road on your right (if you enter Ewing you've gone too far). Turn right and go 2.25 miles to the entrance on your right.
Directions from Omaha: Take Hwy 275 to the Hwy 14 junction in Neligh. From the junction, continue as described above.
