Don't be lulled to sleep on the front nine of Platteview Country Club. The teeth of the course line is the back nine.
The front is relatively free of trees. The back is engulfed in trees and trouble. Rolling terrain and water add to the challenge of the course. You can't see a green from any tee except on the par 3's.
The signature eighth is a beautiful but devilish par 3 with a peninsula green and out-of-bounds on the left.
The fifthteenth has been a World Herald hall of fame par 4 due to its length and blind approach from a valley.
It's back nine boasts the highest slope rating in the state.

Directions from I-80: Take I-80 to Hwy 75 in Omaha. Go south on Hwy 75 about 11 miles to Platteview Rd. (1 mile south of the Fairview Rd. exit). Turn right on Platteview Rd. and go west about 2.5 miles to the entrance on your left.
