This course lays out next to scenic Atkinson State Recreation Area. The course is well conditioned and the greens are in excellent shape.The terrain is level in most places but there are several bumps, rolls and swales on the first three holes.
On number 1, you hit to the top of a knoll and then hit down to a green 20 feet below, or you can opt to fly the knoll and hope for a safe landing.
Prairie meadows replete with wild flowers and prairie grass divide several fairways and make for a tough rough. Small cedars, pines and cottonwoods line the fairways.
A newly constructed quintet of connected, crystal-clear cascading ponds come into play on four holes.
Convenient and relaxing, Atkinson-Stuart Country Club is a good place to play.

Directions from I-80: Take I-80 to Exit 312 (Grand Island). Go north 119 miles on Hwy 281 to Hwy 20 in O'Neill. Turn left and go west on Hwy 20 a total of 20 miles (through Atkinson) to the entrance on your left.
